Let's play "favorite convertible in the $200-$250 range". Vehicle is not an issue to any. Child is on the smaller side and a year old and parents will be RFing for at least another year or two. There are so many choices out there I'm wondering what current favorites are.

Chicco NextFit. You can almost always find them for around $240 or less with sales or coupons. Install with LATCH or seatbelt is super easy, compact front to back, and very tall rear facing height capacity. Then new ones made after October 2013 have a longer crotch strap and removable harness pads.

I have a RXT because it installs dreamy in my van both RFing and FFing.
But I love the Prias cover, cup holder, and taller top slots.
