rightstart.com "free" gift, meh...

rightstart.com was supposed to ship as a "free"gift, some recaro window film ($10 value) with the signo. i just realized today that it wasn't included. i honestly don't care about it... i can't use it anyway since my car already has tint film, but i thought if i called to tell them, they may just credit me $10 (to offset the $10 oversize shipping fee i paid on the seat ). well, they won't credit me the $10 because there's "nothing that we can do to credit something that cost nothing". i.e., since it was free, they can't credit me the value. so the only thing they could do was try to find another suitable "gift" to send. i said forget it...

i was planning on just giving it away to someone here, but oh well...

meh!

My experience w/RS has been that they act like they're doing you a big fat favor by *letting* you order from them in the first place. Blech. Your situation smacks of that, too :(

I wonder if any of the 16 Signos will get returned, not that that has ANY relevance to this thread, though

ThreeBeans, not that it's anywhere near as exciting as sharing a birthday w/SPB's DD, LOL, but Bean the First shares MY birthday. :)

Maybe the window film was shipped separately and will arrive another day? It could be something they snail mail out instead of shipping with the Signo? Although I would think customer service could have checked on the shipping status for the film when you called and inquired, instead of giving you a non-helpful response.

they checked, and verified that they were clean out of them, and that's why they didn't ship. the CS agent patronizingly said they could try to "find" me something of similar value. (why not just "find" me a credit adjustment and be done with it?). i was about to suggest that any CS manager with appropriate authority should be able to make a non-standard adjustment to an account (the part about not being able to credit something that didn't cost anything is bullsh*t), but at that point i really just didn't want to argue.

10/18/04, 10:02pm to be exact :)

She's exactly one day (and a few hours) short of a year younger than Joyjoy! Joyjoy's bday is 10/17/03, and while I honestly don't recall (without looking it up anyway) the exact time, it was around 1pm. 1:07 or something like that. Just after lunch time - the nurses sent down to the cafeteria for a tray for me. lol

I wasn't even paying attention to the clock - I was HUNGRY. LOL And I was more concerned with how much she weighed and why was she blue than what time it was.

i doubt either of use etched that factoid into our memories that night. but it was on the birth record, and it's one of those many details that DW expects to be remembered indefinitely, along with birth weight, name of delivering doctor/midwife/doula and hospital name, day of week, and general weather condition. ;) personally, i have a hard enough time even with birthdays. :D

I took Bean the Third to the hospital a few weeks ago for his newborn hearing screening. When I started to fill out the paperwork I momentarily blanked on two important pieces of information:

1. His birthday. Not time of birth. HIS BIRTHDAY.

2. HIS MIDDLE NAME

Move up the food chain when you hit a brick wall like this. Supervisor first, and then call their corporate office.

LMAO My DH can't even remember his OWN birthday - I don't expect him to do more than remember birth month for the kids!

:p

It's actually Gregory ;)

*grin* I like that name. LOL
