Nextfit or Advocate in 2006 7 passenger Sienna

I'm looking at the Chicco Nextfit or Britax Advocate and I don't want to go to BRU and try to install them with my baby and preschooler- it's cold here!! So, how easily do each of them install in this vehicle? Current position would likely be FF in a captains chair, but I like versatility. It will likely get RF use too, and maybe even third row use. Anyone have experience?

Who will primarily use the seat? I wouldn't get either of those for FF. Your youngest would obviously fit rf in both but you next youngest has likely outgrown the Britax rf. I've heard a few times that the NextFit doesn't install well ff in some cars.

I have a 2006 8 passenger sienna and can say that both the britax convertible line and the nextfit install rf and ff in every position. I can even install the nextfit ff in the center third row and flip the 40 portion flat. The nextfit does take up slightly less front to back room than the britax and has longer usage due to taller shell.

The intention is for DD, who is now mostly FF (though I sometimes RF her if she will let me), to use the new convertible seat and then pass it to her baby brother once our EFTA's expire. It surprises me to hear that she likely will have outgrown the Britax already since she is only 39" tall and 32 pounds. She can still easily fit RF in our EFTA. Am I missing something?

The britax shells are not very tall for rear facing use as you can only rear face to one inch below the actual shell, not the headrest. Sissy is 2 years 2 months, 23lbs and 34 inches tall and has about 2.3-3 inches of growing room left. Depending on if your daughter is more legs or more torso she's likely either outgrown it rear facing or really close to outgrowing it.

Thank you! What is Chicco's rule for outgrowing it RFing? Same, meaning the shell, not the headrest portion?

The NextFit is 2" taller rf. My 38", 32lbs DD is right at the limit rf I think. I looked at her in it in the house recently but haven't checked with it installed. It is nice and easy to switch back and forth though.

Ok, here is DD in both in what should be a RF recline. (Ignore the headrest on the Advocate, I forgot to move it back up from DS2). I can see how she'd be real close on the Advocate, but how about the Nextfit? Does it look ok for her at this point and for future for RF?

The headrest should go taller than that in the nextfit. The bottom of my headwings are just below the overall shell when fully extended.

Let me measure the dcks I have today and see if anyone comes close and I can snap a photo quick.

ETA: If you can see my siggy picture. Luis is in the nextfit FF and the headrest is fully extended and you can see he still has a decent amount of room. He's about 46lbs and 44 inches tall.
