Car seat on a train?

I was just about to buy tickets for a "Santa train" for my 2 yr old. It's a real train that goes by holiday scenes and Santa is on the train with cookies and hot chocolate. Would I need a carseat for that? I was picturing just holding her so she could see out the window and I have no idea if there are seat belts. Is that safe?

No. We've done that with a "Polar Express" theme. It was a lot of fun! We were in a car with bench seats all facing toward the middle of the car, no seat belts.

When we've done these, they are actual trains. No seatbelts on trains, so no carseats. Heck, sometimes we're in an open car with wood benches running the long way. (brrrr)
