I've seen discussions on this product before, and the general concensus was that it's not a good idea.

Unbuckling a seatbelt is a behavior issue, and needs to be addressed as that. Many kids who are unbuckling the seatbelt are simply not ready to be in the vehicle belt and need to still be harnessed in a 5pt harness until they're more mature.

I'm sure we can all help provide some ideas if you're having troubles with an escape artist of your own.

Oh no, it's not for me. My son's still harnessed and couldn't reach the seat belt even if he wanted to  . A mommy in our playgroup just purchased a used van with Gen 3 seat belts and is worried about them coming undone. She found this product online and wanted to know if it was safe or if it would work.

I think I heard, from a tech, that it might actually push on the button and make a gen3 belt release even easier....

I think that was the concern discussed in the other thread. Of course I don't have time to search for that thread right now...

I'm not sure though if it was mainly potential issues discussed in that thread, or if it was definite info.

Oooh, I think I would use that for my dog.

She has a knack at stepping on the Gen3 button and releasing her belt.

Of course, if it actually pushes on the button, then that wouldn't be of any help. Might be worth trying though, but ONLY for the dog's buckle.
