new radian harness covers...

I despise them. I know the manual says they're required so I begrudgingly use them but I'm not happy about it. I can't (easily) get them high enough to protect her neck from harness cuts without making the chest clip too high and I feel like even though I make it tight enough that in a crash the padding on the covers is going to compress and the harness will no longer be tight enough. I've been loosening the straps, getting the covers in the right spot, then tightening it and that's been working alright. Trying to move the covers when the straps are tight enough is difficult.

Is she rf? They are optional rf, and mandatory ff (in Canada) - are they also mandatory ff in the US?

Since about June-ish, I've noticed, the manual says "always utilize harness covers" on the US models and they have the large ones. If you call they will send you the small ones but without word if (either style) are really required or not. Clear as mud. Several techs I know have attempted to get to the bottom of it without much success. :/

Oh, we love the large ones! It's a FF seat and I feel like they are good padding. No problems, but maybe RF would be more so. We bought this particular seat for an older kid so it was only FF.

RF harness covers for any seat always get in the way for me, always.

Yes, she's rfing. I suppose I could switch her seat with the radian in the middle of the back row but I was hoping to never move those seats. (Partially kidding ;).)
