Question 2 Graco My Rides Compatible with a 2013 Ford Flex...

We are thinking of purchasing a 2013 Ford Flex. We have a 4 year old who is currently in a forward-facing Graco My Ride 65 (2nd row, behind driver) and a 9 month old who is currently in a Graco Snugride (2nd row, center). We are looking to move the 9 month old into a rear-facing convertible car seat (possibly another Graco My Ride 65) with the purchase of the new vehicle. I'm wondering how compatible the My Rides are with the 2013 Ford Flex. Does anyone have experience using 2 My Ride 65's (or 70's) side by side, one forward facing and one rear facing in a Flex?? Anyone have any suggestions on 2 convertible car seats that fit well together in a Flex with 2nd row bench?? Advice on captains chairs vs. bench with 2 convertible seats?? Safest seating arrangement for an infant and toddler in the 2nd row (as Id rather they not be in the third row.) Is access limited for 3rd row passengers when 2 convertible car seats are used in a Flex's 2nd row bench??
Any advice/suggestions would be be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome.

If your 4 yo is FF, then a new MyRide may be overkill since you would not be using it for RF. What about a combination seat (harness then high back booster)? You could pass the MyRide to the baby.

You would want to choose a combination seat that puzzles with the My Ride if they are to sit side by side. The MyRide has higher sides, so a combination that has lower sides that would fit underneath the edge of the MyRide. Does that make sense? It is early:p. Perhaps the Evenflo Secure Kid? It is hard to make suggestions without knowing the height and weigh of your 4 yo.

As far as the Flex, I have done checks in them and they are pretty sweet, although I cannot remember if the My Ride was one. Take your seat with you to the dealer and try them! I am sure some one with MyRide/Flex experience will add their experience.

I have an older Flex. The only seat I can get rf center is my Radian, and I have realized its only because I don't have leather, with the fold down armrest. It is also probably the only seat that will allow for the 40 split to tumble. I am not sure how the MyRide ff puzzles with a Radian, but that might be an option.

Or maybe a MR rf drivers side, and a narrow ff combo seat next to it?

ETA: I have not tried anything in the center ff. My 9 yr old is usually there with a backless booster when I do 3 across
