how to calculate shipping?

Does anyone know how to calculate shipping? I have never sent a carseat. What do people use to ship a carseat? Fedex? UPS? how do you look it up by weight? I tried and I am getting that it would cost $180 to ship something. I know that isn't right because I have bought Radian's off of here and the shipping wasn't too bad.

I usually use usps to calculate. Once I used FedEx because it was cheaper. As long as you have the of dimensions and approximate weight, I'd start with usps.com and either use priority or parcel post. I find a lot of times they end up being the same price but priority is so much faster. Don't forget insurance and tracking!

This exactly :) You can even schedule a pickup with the Priority so you don't even have to leave the house!

I still can't calculate. I went to USPS and choose large package, but once I put in dimensions, it just flips me back to first screen.

I don't know my dimensions so i just looked up the dimensions on Amazon and it said 17x17x25. I put that in and it flipped me back to the first screen.

So I made up dimensions and said 20 x 20 x 30. It took me to the next screen and said Standard post $66.

So, I have to be doing something wrong.

If you want to PM me the seat (if it's original box) and the to/from zip codes, I can run it for you. (I'm sure a lot of others can too, but just in case you don't want to release the zip codes!)
