Id like to know what is do dangerous about kids eating in the car?? ;)

Interesting products. The second one looks like it helps you pull the belt through the path. Does it come off after that?

It looks like they show the kid having taken his belt partway off, for some reason, in order to eat. I ate in car so many times as a kid, without needing to take my belt off (assuming I was wearing it, parents were pretty lax) that I'm wondering what's up as well. Although the kid could use a cup holder of some sort, lol.

As best I can tell, the blurb on the box actually does say "when kids eat in the car they usually unbuckle...." This is news to me. I never unbuckled to eat, my big kid never has, and the toddler doesn't either. We all eat in the car fairly regularly.

I had one of the easy buckle things when DD1 was a baby, with her Century Smart Move. The instructions said you could leave it on, but you could not get a tight fit with it on the belt. You also could not get it off easily with it through the belt path. So basically, it was worthless. Man that was a long time ago. I can't believe those things are still hanging around.
