How would you handle?

I borrowed my boss's company car this morning to run an errand for the company. I know she has a 4 yr old son as I always get the hand me down clothes (woohoo), and he's a big boy as the last stuff I got was 4t.
She has a Nautilus installed with the seatbelt (good) but no top tether. The straps are as low as they can go I'm pretty sure as well as the headrest.
Is there any couth way to handle this? Should I say anything at all? I don't know if its my place and it'd be awkward considering she's my boss...

Not sure of your relationship, but I usually take the self-depreciating approach:

"I know I'm being completely annoying, but..."

"Can I help you with your seat? I'm sorry, I know I'm such a pain in the ass with this stuff..."

Good luck :)

"I noticed your big boy has been using the harness settings for little dudes on his carseat. Mind if I show you how to change it to fit him better?"

If receptive, move on to the top tether.

She may not know there are more harness slots behind the headrest. You could also mention "noticed your little man is still on the first harness slot-if that's above his shoulders like its supposed to be he could stay harnessed to high school!"
