Well, knock me over with a feather! That's one way to decrease misuse!

Though I think it's a bit odd that they state a preference for handle down... Hmmm...

I'm glad to hear that. I'm one of the few that actually liked my baby trend. Even the triangle handle.

From that press release:

Previous policies insisted the handle be left in a rearward position to discourage parents from hanging toys or other items from the handle. In a vehicle crash, those types of items can potentially cause injury to the child.

Now if only they'd ditch the buckle and lower the bottom slots and make the seat a little bigger and the base less rebound-y...
Well, I still hate it slightly less now :p

I asked on their fb page if they had plans to add a harness location, yeah they came back with "all of our seats are tested down to 5lbs blah blah blah."

Yeah, in reality, lower harness slots mean nothing for safety, a 5 pound baby barely tips the seat back in even the worst of crashes, and lap straps hold them in place. But 'on the boards', people utterly emphasize the black and white set in stone rule of 'harness at or below the shoulders', so a seat with slightly high bottom slots gets raked over the coals constantly. Just easier for them to lower the slots and let people shut up about the whole issue
