Britax Pinnacle90 because of the ease of use, long harness ability, great fitting booster, and side impact protection.

Fave budget seat is the Evenflo SureRide. Great fit on small and large kids for rear and forward facing and long lasting. Relatively straight forward install.

Frontier 85. Long belt path makes secure installs where other seats fail. Harnesses forever and boosters for a minute and a half after that. ;)

Evenflo Sureride- fits big kids and little babies well. The harness will actually normally be outgrown by weight before height, a real rarity.

Recaro Performance Sport- cuz I like it. :p. Cover stays put, open belt path makes for easy installs, and I like the big side wings.

Budget- yeah, I'm going with the SureRide, too.

If for myself/someone I could install for fr85...for a random parent online or someone I know far away fr90. I like the 85 better but its a tricky install at the end of the day.

Budget seat is a sureride hands down...it has everything.

Why the Frontier 85 over the 90?

I love the long belt path install of the FR85. I think that the 90 has some kinks that have yet to be worked out. Many members here have had to return theirs because of various things not working right. The 90 seems to lose quite a bit of harness height when installed in some vehicles. The 85 is also FAA approved and the 90 isn't.

Has Evenflo acknowledged and addressed the harness-coming-off-the-splitter-plate issue on the SureRide?

Open budget seat, Recaro Performance Sport. I've been lusting over its predecessors for years and years. It's highly unlikely that I will ever have the opportunity to justify one. In fact, it's unlikely that I will ever buy another harnessed seat, barring crashes. :(

Budget seat, Evenflo Maestro.

1. Recaro Performance Ride, I love how it wraps around kids and It is fairly easy to install. The harness adjuster is super smooth and the cover isn't going anywhere.

2. Evenflo Sureride because it fits kids well from birth until booster age and installs easily in every car I have seen so far.
