Here's the deets: I'm nannying again (yay!). K - 7yo, A - 4yo in Nov, and B - 7mos. I also have a new niece C (1mo yesterday!). Right now I have K in a HBTB, A ff'ing in a RN XTSL, and B rf'ing in a RN65 borrowed from P1Ally. I've been trying to decide what convertible to get - needs to have a no-rethread harness so I could put the nieceling in it and share it between the babies without having to rethread. It was down to the Nextfit or Peg... and then I got thinking.
With the Amazon mom thing going on right now, I can get a FR90 for under $200, taxes and shipping included. I love love love my RN rf'ing and don't like any other rf'ing seat as much, so maybe it would be just as easy to put A in the FR90, and when I have my niece, just remove the FR90 (Super easy because clicktight! I wouldn't mind moving it when necessary) and do a baseless install of her Keyfit. But, the FR90 is having warping issues that gives me pause about buying it.
So, we're still set up with my seats and the borrowed radian and I'm going back and forth on what to do. I drive a Mazda5, so I have the younger 2 in the middle row, and K in the back in her booster. (She only gets picked up from school 1x a week or so.) The other third row seat is folded down to accomodate the bigger end of the stroller (It *may* fit with both seats up but I don't think so) and the diaper bag, etc.
SO THEN... to throw a kink in the works I'm going to be picking up P1Ally's son from school 2x a week. He's still harnessed and Ally isn't booster ready. He still fits in the RN, A's on the second to top slots so I figured I'd just move them up to the top to accommodate him, it doesn't matter if A rides in it with the straps a bit high. I moved them yesterday and I realized a couple of things - first, safestop! I caught it and took it off (A's only about 30lbs, Ally's son is definitely way over the weight limit.) and secondly, the headwings. I know the trick to moving them up and down so that's not a big deal, but I realized that when moved down for A they'll cover the harness slot. I'm not sure if it's allowed but either way I'm not really comfortable with it. Also not all that happy about having her in it without safestop.
So... that makes more sense to get the FR90, right? Reassure me about the warping thing and tell me it's worth $200, please.
