Question Narrow Backless Booster

just purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee -- here's my issue...the seatbelt connectors are now fixed into the seat and don't move around, because of that, my 2 backless booster seats are too wide and you can't buckle in easily w/ the seatbelt. The 2 i have are the Clek Oobr (just using the bottom) and the Britax Parkway (just using the bottom). Can anyone suggest a more narrow seat that will allow me to buckle my kids in without ripping my fingers to shreds! Once these 2 seats are clicked securely w/ the latch, there is just no way to make it work. HELP! christine

Well, the narrowest booster is the Bubblebum, but that's not as user friendly for everyday use unless it's the -only- thing that fits. Here is a link to the booster set measurements sub forum. Maybe someone will come along with ideas.

Do you only want latchable boosters?

Also, with the Parkway you don't need to tighten the latch as tight as you would a carseat. With our Parkway I leave it loose enough so that I can scoot it over a little to make it easier to buckle. That's not possible with the connectors on the Clek. Since the latch on a booster is only to keep the booster from flying around when unoccupied (so it doesn't need to be re-buckled when empty) it doesn't need to be installed as tight as a carseat.

The Harmony Literider booster is a little narrower at the back I think, might be another one to look into (and it doesn't latch so you can move it to the side to make it easier to buckle).

thank you! i have decided to use both of mine without the latch system and scoot them over a bit, so i have room for the buckle. I appreciate your responses! christine
