Funny about new Blvd. Manual

Our new Blvd. just arrived yay! In the manual it says to "Remove infant Body Pillow after child can sit comfortably in restraint without additional support." Then on the very next page dealing with the chest clip there is a picture of a two year old sitting with the pillow! I would think that he could manage to sit up without additional support.

It's the same way in my BV manual. It's just one of things, I think. I remember thinking the same thing the first time I saw it, though, like 'huh? I thought we were supposed to remove the body pillow when they don't need additional support!' Mine was for my 5 yr old, so of course I took it out!

I saw that, too, so I was convinced that my small-ish, 10.5 month old DD should be able to use the support pillow. I kept trying to wedge her in there with it, but she was so squished and it pushed her so far forward that the crotch buckle was completely underneath her.

I took it out and she kind of wiggled and stretched out, like, "Ah, that's better!"

Am I a dork that since I paid so much for the seat, I want to use all the parts? :) Oh well, at least I'll get to use the HUGS when she's FF.

You are not a dork! My son was born too big for both of the head pillows on his snug ride but he still suffered a very squished ride home from the hospital. From what I understand, you don't HAVE to take the HUGS off when rear facing.

Things like this in the manual really go to show why people use the seats incorrectly. I'm a much more visual person and if isn't about my son's safety, I totally just go by pictures in a manual.
