Please list CURRENT >40# limit seats, and BEST PRICE

I have to send a list of seats that can harness above 40#s to my best friend's husband. Their two oldest children (ages 3 and 6 are both in boosters, but BOTH still just under 40#s) He is VERY analytical and money-conscious. I know he won't want to spend the money. I'd love to send him direct links to the best prices online. Here are the seats that I currently know of:

Britax Regent
Britax Marathon
(I know there are several other Britax seats, but I know he won't go for the "pricier" models)
Cosco/Safety First Apex
Fisher Price Safe Voyage
Triumph Advance
Titan Elite (anyone know about this seat?)
Radian
Recaro seats (too expensive, and the kids are too tall/old)
Carseat Specialty Airway

Any others?? Any sales, or real deals online right now? My guess is the budget is probably around $100-$150 per seat.

The Titan has very low top harness slots. It may go to 50 lbs harnessing, but very few children will actually reach that before outgrowing it by height.

You'll just have to look around for the prices. I think most of the Britax sales of the last few weeks have ended.

Try http://www.albeebaby.com for the FPSVD and the Safety 1st Biltmore (clone of the Apex65).

Amazon often has the Radians on sale (though not currently).

The Airway is gone, take it off the prospective list :). That Biltmore is only 79 at albee now...awesome deal (and it becomes a booster later, people are obsessed with buying seats that do that, so it might appeal...)

And if he's into "value," ask him to estimate the costs of caring for a permanently disabled child, or the cost of a funeral. Carseats are much cheaper! Also, you could estimate the daily cost of the seat based on estimated length of use. It's just pocket change! Cheaper than his morning coffee. :)

Carseats are an INVESTMENT in his child's future. He pays his car insurance every month, even though he doesn't get in a wreck every month, right?

I sent him an initial email with links to Kyle's video, and some websites, including Sacred Journeys (who here runs that site? It's really cool!)

I also sent a link to the Biltmore that's on sale for $79.99. If that's not "affordable," I don't know what is! I just bought one for my son. And although it's no Britax, you can't beat the price for a "bigger kid" harness!
