Question 3 across in 2008 Pathfinder/Altima

#3 is on the way and we need to figure out how 3 across is going to work in both our 08 Pathfinder and 08 Altima. Currently we have 2 Britax Marathon's and the newbie will go into a Peg Perego 30/30 Primo Viaggio. We obviously need a new seat or 2 to replace the Marathon's but not sure how to get it done.

Who has done 3 across in a Pathfinder and an Altima and what seats? Stressing about the solution, please help!!!

Accomplishing a 3 across in a sedan is very much like putting a puzzle together :D

Almost every successful 3 across i have done involved at least one Diono Radian.... they are extremely narrow at the base and taper a bit at the seat base allowing for extra room. Also, when installing seats you will probably need to use a seat belt and not the latch system - using the seat belts allows you to position the seats more towards the doors and not in the dead center of the seat base itself.

Are you wanting to use an infant "bucket" seat for your newborn or are you open to using a convertible from birth?

How old are your older children and which direction were you hoping to have them ride?

Is there a price point you are wanting to stay within?

I'm sure we can help you figure something out!

I have a 2006 Nissan pathfinder and I was able to get a Graco nautilus ff, rf Britax boulevard 70, and an infant combi shuttle in it. All were seatbelt installed. I've done a few 3 across. I'm sure if you try a skinny seat like a radian you could use your peg infant seat and the one Britax. I could never get my peg 22lb (I think that's what is was back in 2007) infant sear installed tight enough in the center. Hope that helps.
