Where to get kid's bedding?

Oh I also went to Home Outfitters and they had some cute sheets with cupcakes and some cupcake accessory pillow that she loved, all 40% off. But no duvet cover, only a fluffy polyester comforter. :p So we picked up the sheets and pillow figuring I could find a duvet cover that was complementary then when I got the sheets home I noticed they were 40% polyester. Bah.

Lol, I would probably just get her the same as what TechnoBaby has, although I do really like the one posted.

Can you make your own? I make all my own duvet covers (because I HATE finding them, and when I do, I can't stand how expensive they are!). I just sew sheets together-- you can get some pretty great fabrics/designs.

Good idea but likely not. While I probably have enough skills to sew sheets together, I do not own a sewing machine or have access to one.

I don't have a suggestion, but a question for you since you seem to be a fan of duvet covers. ;) How do you keep the duvet/comforter from bunching up inside? I got my oldest a duvet cover from Ikea a few years ago, but it drove me nuts because the comforter inside would shift around so much inside the cover and then he'd end up with half the duvet cover being empty and the other end had the comforter all balled up.

Been using them for over 25 years and rarely run into the issue as I just grab the bottom corners every few nights give a few shakes. That prevents anything from shifting much at all. Some also have ties in the corners. Those usually annoy me though and I don't use the ties anyway.

Not sure I'm a fan per say, it's more that we use organic wool duvets or silk duvets that require a cover. And you can change up your bedding look easily that way too. I can't stand the polyester comforters that come with most "bed in a bag" sets and pill overtime and don't have any qualities to keep your temperature regulated at night. So I guess for me, duvet covers are really my only option? LOL

My favorite kids' bedding has come from Target.
Ya, no duvet covers unfortunately for kids at our Target. Crappy poly comforters.

The Company Store Kids also has some cute stuff but in a totally different price range than Target:)

Ya, she liked this set http://www.thecompanystore.com/girls-pink-sheets/30099-ps.html?start=7&cgid=ck-bedding-sheets except that the sheets for some reason are not available in full, yet the duvet cover is. I wanted to email them and ask but could only find a phone number and I haven't had a time without yelling kids to call.

ETA: had a second to call (although the kids yelled the whole time...grrr) and of course it's discontinued so they *might* get a few more sheets but aren't certain and have no idea when. They do have the pillow cases and cupcake cover, so I could get that and get hot pink sheets which she would like, but they are out of hot pink sheets until October...LOL Maybe I can find that somewhere else. I'll see about talking her into another colour of sheets.

I think Eva's came from Company Kids. It wasn't her favorite bedding set. It was the set that worked with the room she was trying to create. She wanted orange, which isn't a good wall color, so we found a lovely aqua blue that would really make orange accents pop, and then we looked everywhere to find bedding that worked with those colors. Maybe that perspective would help her choose? (I.e, focus on the colors and effect more than the pattern.)

Well I talked her out of this hideous bedding luckily. :ROTFLMAO:

The problem is she doesn't really have an idea of what she likes until she sees something and then she can't separate a wall colour, from a sheet patter, from a duvet pattern, etc. once she sees everything as a whole. So if I show her an example room to see specific sheets or a specific wall colour, she thinks that means she has to take everything in that room as is. *sigh* We're sort of progressing, I think I've talked her out of candy, ice cream, cupcakes, etc. as I think she'll be sick of it too soon.
