Replacement foam handles for Graco stroller?

I have a Graco stroller (http://www.gracobaby.com/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?ProductID=1770641#sthash.ByIY6Hvh.dpbs) and the foam handle has ripped on one side.

- The graco site lists no replacement handle foam for that model.
- I see lots of replacement foam handles but I do not think it's possible to slide one on.
- I have taken off the center of the handle and it is all one solid piece that does not come apart in the middle.

It seems like what I need is some handle that could stitch on like a steering wheel cover. Anyone have one of these and had this problem?

Hello and welcome to car-seat.org!

I've heard of the handle tearing on some strollers, but most people I know just tape it. :p

Did you already remove the entire foam covering? If so, the steering wheel cover might work well. You might also be able to try foam pipe insulation.
Because this is not a safety issue, it probably doesn't matter what you use. It is up to you.

I just [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Stroller-Handle-Sleeve-Size/dp/B0034JR0QG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top"]found this.[/ame] It looks interesting, but I wonder how much different it is than foam pipe insulation.

I saw that same zip on thing. The problem is I'd need two 10" ones (guessing on the length).

I did not remove the foam, it was torn about 3/4 of the way down it. I used some black thread to "stitch" it very poorly together. Tape might be the best solution. Some bike handle or hockey stick tape maybe. If that would stick to the foam I could wrap it up real good.

Seems like a let down from Graco.
