I want to thank everyone that has answered my many questions (as a guest and since I registered). I have the most laid back, easy going 5 month old. She fusses, at most, like 10min in a 24hr period but you put this kid in the car and she would SCREAM. I would sit in back with her when my husband was with us and she would fuss but be calmer. If I had to drive alone with her she would scream to the point I couldn't tell if she was breathing so I'd pull over to nurse her then strap her back in and continue on (with her once again screaming).
I tried everything I could think of to calm her in the car but nothing worked so we bought a Radian GTX in hopes she just hated her Safety 1st Air Protect bucket seat. Once I got it installed and the harness sized right she decided she LOVES the car. I actually sit in the back and film her now...she is laughing it up, all smiles. We roll all the windows down and she looks likes she's on a roller coaster throwing her hands up squealing...then we hit a red light and she looks so disappointed until we roll again. I've driven alone with her 5x and she was so quiet I wanted to pull over to make sure she was breathing (not because she screamed too much though, she was just silent so long).
Today, for the first time in about 4 months she actually napped in the car!!!! I took pictures to prove she did in fact sleep in the car!
Anyways...no point to this post other than to thank those that helped with my install and harness questions and just partly out of relief that the screaming may be over and because I am sooooooo happy not to have to hear her screaming alone in the back seat anymore!!
Hoping I didn't just jinx it all by saying this all!!!
