six-point harness?

I just saw a picture of a seat sold in another country (I believe it was a Britax for the Korean market?) and it had a six-point harness. I have never heard of this before. Is it considered safer/less safe than five-point, and why? Or...is it basically the same and just a gimmick--like "that seat only has a five-point and this has SIX so it must be better!"

(I think this temp job I'm working has left me with too much time on my hands and nothing to do--indeed nothing I'm expected to do!--except talk to people who walk in, rarely, and browse the internet...I swear I don't normally spend my free time browsing photos of random car seats lol)

There was some speculation that the split crotch strap would have some benefit to pelvic loads and groin injuries in a severe FF crash. Britax had the Galaxy here in the early 2000's. Let me switch to the ipad and link a thread...

I really liked the Galaxy seat. :)

I also LOVED my Britax King. It had a regular 5-point harness but was so revolutionary at the time it came out.

I had a galaxy with my oldest. It was a neat seat but with a horrible cover, felt like a polyester couch from the 70s.

There was a "new", expired Galaxy for sale at a high-end baby store near here until the store closed in 2010. DOM 2002, new with tags. Me and at least one other member here tried to get them to pull it, with no luck
