A friend who I told to get the MA says they lock offs keep coming off and not holding the seatbelt in place...I guess they are frustrated b/c it was so expensive but it isnt that sturdy....
any advice? Is it just impossible to do a seatbelt when installing rf . They have a passat wagon...

Mine only slip if both portions of the belt are not inside the lockoff. If she is having problems I would call Britax, they may replace them.

Are they locking the seat belt AND using the lock-offs. That makes the belt tight, bunchy and unlockable in some vehicles. It's also not recommended to use both, IIRC.

I had to get the lock offs replaced on my MA; tell them to call Britax. Mine was out of warranty and they didn't charge me anything, so hopefully they will do the same for her.

Have they tried flipping the lock offs? You can take them off and rotate them 180 degrees and I've heard that helps too.

She either needs to wiggle and jiggle the base and seatbelt so that the belts are staggered (not completely overlapped) and then it will stay closed...also she can lock the other lockoff if it works better. Or she needs to see if they are really broken (really open with no pressure) and call them for new ones. If it's a slightly older seat, then calling for new ones will help, because they get installed with the hinge on the other side now, and that makes it stay closed better...
