Question Soft Pram for the BJCMD......worth it?

I am considering getting this for my littlest to use in our BJCMD. It isn't cheap, but if we will get some use out of it, maybe it is worth it. Any one ever had one?

Are you talking about the bassinet? I had one for both my kids and I loved it but we walk a lot so it was worth it for me. I wouldn't get it if you don't walk a lot or are in and out of the car a lot. It gets to be kind of a hassle if you have to mess with it all the time.

Yeah the bassinet thing. I walk a lot and baby doesn't like to be in a front carry position in the sling, he only likes to be in the cradle position which doesn't go well with walking distance. He is small, but LOOOONG. I heard that the bassinet is narrow but long. How did you find it to be? Would it last a few months??

My friend had a stroller bassinet for his youngest and LOVED it. He said he always felt young babies should ride in a pram, not a "stroller," so he loved it. I think he said his son rode in it until he was about six months.

I'm using a bassinet on my stroll air and I love it. I don't know about the bjcm but I can have dd2 laying in it and then dd1 sits on the end facing me if she gets tired. I took it to the fair this week and she slept the entire time, even with dd getting in and out.

I have only used the Uppababy Vista and Bumbleride Indie Twin bassinets so I'm not sure on the exact one you are talking about. I could easily still have my 5.5 month in the bassinet if I hadn't sold my Indie Twin last week.

I used the bassinet on the BJCS and stopped using it at 4-5m. You cannot use it once baby sits up.

I don't know that I'd spend the $200 on the bjcm bassinet but I've seen them on CL for a lot less. I really liked using one.

There's a black one on NBD for about $100. An Amazon review says that they're 10.5" by 30", if that helps someone figure out how long it'll last.
