Question links on proper boostering, please?

My family is very "legal minimums are good enough" and it's exhausting. Despite explaining safety issues over and over, they pressured me to FF my son, they pressured me to booster him when he outgrew his CA harness at age 3, and now that he's 3.5 and 37lb they're pressuring me to booster as soon as he hits 4 and 40. They're also clamoring for me to put him in cheap nbb's despite the fact that we have three perfectly good FR85s that convert to booster mode.

Can I have some links that explain proper boostering and the benefits of a hbb over a nbb for younger kids, please?

Do they ever transport your child? Because if not, I'd probably just tell them to MYOB.

There isn't a lot of hard evidence that harnessing past 4 and 40 is safer than a properly fitting booster (if the child can sit still), or that HBBs are safer than LBBs.

They do transport him. It's mainly my mom, who has him 2 days a week, and my aunt, who has him a couple times a month.

I don't trust my ds to sit properly in a booster and doubt he will be able to for quite awhile. Part of what I'm looking for is a concise explanation of what "sitting properly" means and why it's important. And I thought that HBBs tend to offer better belt positioning, especially for smaller kids?
