GN and RN head excursion...

I know from being on here for years that the GN and RN are seats that are commonly recommended for seating locations without a top tether because they have good head excursion #'s even when not top tethered. Is there info to back this up? I'm being called out on it and need proof.

Didn't this info come from the Canadian testing that we saw a couple of years ago?

It's from the NHTSA compliance testing. http://icsw.nhtsa.gov/cars/testing/comply/fmvss213/ Remember, it's only one part of a very big picture, so take the numbers with a grain of salt.

Sure would be nice if they'd update that (Hello? NHTSA? Are you awake in there?) Britax claims to pass with the G3 convertibles without top tether, but it could take another 3 years for us to get a new compliance chart, eh?

I would love to see some of the newer seats tested to see how they do. I don't *need* to have a lot of flexibility in my car since I have 1 harnessed FF seat, but still. I am super curious about the clone seats.
