Hi - I checked archives but couldn't find an answer to this boringly specific question. My 4.5 y.o. son and I will be flying Southwest in 2 days from OAK-MDW and back, with a layover in Las Vegas. I need to bring his Evenflo booster seat to use in Chicago. I am completely perplexed about how to do it! I was planning to check it, probably w/o the back (he is about 40 lb & 40"), but after reading the archives I am scared of what luggage handlers will do to it! (Or is just a booster base relatively stable??) Will Southwest let me gate-check it? (And even if they do, will there be room in the overhead, or will I have to stick it under the seat in front of me?) Then I'd have to lug it around Las Vegas for 2 hours... Ugh. Would appreciate any advice on how to proceed - thanks!
