Feel of the Congo FR90?

(Thought this must be in a thread somewhere, but my search didn't turn this up.)

Can anyone tell me how this cover feels? DD complained the cactus flower didn't feel good. :( Thanks!

Oops. I think it's actually the black seat portion of the cactus flower that bothered her. It's a heavier woven fabric (like some backpacks?) with a lot of texture to it, making it feel not so soft. Do you know if the black seat portion of the congo is the same? Thanks!!!

The entire cover is the same material. None of the woven fabric. Zebra is very similar to cactus flower btw.

Everyone at BRU agrees it feels like a really nice high quality winter jacket, not slippery, not rough, smooth and sort of breathable.

I really like it! I do not like the velvety or textured fabrics that Britax does so I was glad to have one that was all one fabric and was flat and smooth.

Sounds really nice!

Her/our favorite is actually the velvet, but this sounds really nice too.

I dont have my livia seat anymore however I've had both in real life at the same time.

Did they clash horribly? Although now, I think it's more likely to end up next to the cowmoo and that should look really good. Not that looks are the determining factor, but if all else is equal ...

Could someone quickly summarize this for the uninitiated?

So there are two types of fabrics, Congo/Livia vs. Zebra/Cactus?

Congo/Livia is considered "nicer" than Zebra/Cactus?

Thanks!

I wouldn't say one is nicer. It's really just a preference. Some kids are more sensitive to texture, like mine. A lot of people love their cactus flower and zebras.

ETA: Okay, I might have stated one is "nicer", but that's just for my family, just our opinion and what would work best for us. And I don't actually know if cactus flower and zebra feel the same and there are other fabrics too. Sorry I can't be of more help. I haven't seen most of them IRL, the reason I have so many questions here.

We have a Congo FR90. It is basically like a rip-stop type nylon like a windbreaker jacket. My son really likes it and it stays super clean.
