How to unlatch airplane seatbelt on radian??!

I was really impressed with the Radian FF install on an airplane ride. I slid my hand through the belt paths from either side, connected the buckle, pulled on the end of the strap and voila-tight install. However, when it came time to undo the belt buckle I didn't think about how I was going to completely unflap buckle for it to release-as there was clearly not enough room in the belt path to do so. I had to get assistance from the First Officer. (Thank you West Jet!-whew!) He ended up removing all nearby seat cushions for better access and had to undo seat belt from where it attaches to seat-not sure how he did that exactly. He then had to pull seat belt through from middle of back of radian near the bottom. I was the last one off the plane with this fiasco and felt awful for running them behind. I now have to fly back so someone please tell me there is an easier way to unlatch seat belt or place it so it is not in the middle of the belt path. Tia!!

Oh-and I bungee corded it to a small carry on. It was so easy to wheel down the aisle.

Welcome! The solution I've heard mentioned is to ask for and use a buckle extender, which will put one buckle outside the belt path. This is necessary when installing RF on the plane. :) However, you should be able to access the FF belt path simply by undoing the front velcro panel and reaching in! I actually do that when installing too-makes the install much quicker to tighten from the front!

Yes! The first time I lifted the cover of the radian was on a plane. I felt so silly that I say there perplexed wondering how I was going to unbuckle.
