    I actually put my "average torsoed" child in for this comparison. (She was the one dressed who could find her shoes and get them on quickly. LOL.) She is 9, 50th percentile for height, and her seated torso height (measured cross-legged against the wall just now) is 18".

    Both pictures taken, installed properly except for non-use of tether, in the driver's side captain's chair of the 05 Ody.

    Here's the 85:



    She had around 3/4 inch left in it. (Sorry, I forgot the measuring tape.)

    Here's the 90:



    She had about 3 1/4 inches left to grow, so that was a 2 1/2 inch improvement, and that was with the recline on. She gains about another 1/2 inch when not using the recline; however, when doing this I discovered an issue with my recline and my seat will not unrecline, so I'll be contacting Britax.

    Wow! She gained some serious height in the 90! Now I'm stuck on what to do again.
