SUV to truck, change seats?

Long story short, our '03 Trailblazer has reached money pit status, so our ILs may be letting us use their '06 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab until we can come up with the money for our next vehicle (the truck just sits cause FIL cant drive anymore).

What I want to know is if I should change up the car seats, since from what I read, pickups are not as safe as SUVs. This is my set up, in order of how they sit. I want to know if you would change seats or seating locations. (if you arent comfortable with my seating choices, pretend you are, and what you would do if you were ;)).

8y5m - HBB Affix (45lbs 49")
3y10m - FF MyRide (36lbs, 38")
5y7m - HBB Affix (42lbs, 42")

The truck is much bigger in the back, so my options excite me :p (trailblazer is great for install, but tight on space) but I also have no desire to change unless it is a good idea, safety wise.

Thanks!

In some GM trucks the latch anchors are middle & driver, some are middle & passenger, some are driver & passenger. I notice you're using Affix seats, and so I'd place the boosters wherever the latch anchors are... assuming you want them latch'd. Otherwise, I think your seat choices are fine. The 36 pounder in a booster wouldn't be legal here, but I respect that Canada and the US are different, and most of all he's at an age where boostering is reasonable. :)

Actually I totally messed that up, Ill fix it in my OP. The 3 year old is 36lbs, the 5 year old is 42 ;)

Sorry if you were wanting to buy new seats(!), but I think your current seats sound reasonable.
Unless... you don't think your 5yr is a good booster rider, in which case maybe a frontier would be good for a while since you do have a kid to pass it to in the future. But if he/she is a good booster rider then I don't think it matters.
I know my oldest was not totally booster reliable until more recently - like 6.5 years old - so he was boostered in one car and harnessed in a frontier in the other for a while (from 5.5-6.5 years old.)

5 year old is a great booster rider.

I sorta want to buy new seats  but not really :p

I dont really know anything about pickups, and am not really comfortable with driving one, so this is all new to me. I'll have to practice driving it
