Little legrom - RF

Today we were at a childs birthdayparty. One of the mothers said that she had to turn her sound FF soon because he had so little leg rom. I said that it isn't uncomfortable or dangerous for the child.

My question is, do any of you have any good links with facts saying that it isn't dangerous? I know it's not dangerous but if I had some links saying to back up my argument.

Since you are in Norway is there a way you can get the "Swedish" seats that have legroom. Our American seats I do agree have little leg room but the "Swedish" seats look very comfortable.

We have both Swedish and Norwegian seats here ;) I'm not looking for a seat, I just want a link to a serious site saying that it's not dangerous :)

If people see that some professor or doctor saying that it's not dangerous they almost automatically belive it. That's my experince.

She has a Norwegian produced combiseat called HTS BeSafe iZi Combi X1:

I cannot understand why so many people buy these seats, in my opinion they are the largest ones out in the shops.

I might incompetent because I  Britax and Akta Graco. Britax has a rather large selection of RF seats going all the way up to 55.11 lbs
Those seats are strictly RF so people won't be tempted to turn their kids around before they are about four years of age.

well just look at that seat, i'm not sure why she would think it's dangerous if it has that rebound bar.

Sorry I'm not being any help to you. Do you think that printable brochure will help?

Isn't Britax Two Way Elite for sale in USA at all? Here they go up to 55 lbs.

lol you're confusing them. The American Britax seats and the European Britax seats are in my observations ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY DIFFERENT lol, and for so many reasons. All of them, with the exception of the Britax Traveller Plus which is comparitive to the Britax Regent. But otherwise no, they're all different.

I was so sure I had seen TWE been mentioning here, but maybe it is just because of your signature ;) I know that the Regent, Boulevard etc(meaning the rest of the American Britax seats). are not sold by Britax in Europe :)

Britax used to make a seat called the Elite for the US. it had a 32# rfing weight limit. It looked very similar to the TWE, but had the tether at the top like a US seat instead of lower on the seat like the TWE does. It was really really cool and installed long belt path rfing. I had one for about 5 months that a good friend's child had outgrown. I was able to use it for a little while until it expired. It was my absolute favorite rfing seat of all time. I even like it better than the TWE.

Some people with children with special needs/developmental problems have been able to legally import TWE's in to America to use - maybe that's what you're thinking of?
