Foonf issue...

My foonf shaved off the top of my leather seats in my last car. Can I put a thin blanket behind the seat to protect the seat back..?... It is installed forward facing. I'm thinking something like a receiving blanket or an Aden and Anaise blanket. I know we can put something thin under the seat bottom but I assume the seat back is okay too? My friend's car seat was ruined by her Blvd 70 as well. It completely stretched her leather. Until recently.. I had never had an issue with seats ruining leather.

Geesh, that's not supposed to happen, it's only those Ginsu-bottomed old Coscos that are supposed to hurt leather :(
I wouldn't have an issue using something thin, assuming it doesn't interfere with a safe tight install.

For the stretched leather, it really does bounce back after a few days/weeks.

I'm curious what you mean about shaved it off though? Could you post a picture?

I have now seen stretched leather not return to shape at all. It has been weeks in my friend's car.

In my car... It appears to have removed the top layer of leather. I would take a pic but I sold it last week. I don't think it was entirely removed when I sold it.. But I think the foonf caused a bubble that was then messed up when the detailers cleaned the seats. The women who bought it showed me the issue. It was her detailers. There were two dents there that didn't come out for at least a week. Before I dropped off the car, I kept all the seats in the 3rd row for two weeks. The new owner doesn't have kids and I didn't want her to freak when she saw the van with messed up seats. With a slight bit of rubbing the leather surface came off. I was quite surprised.

I checked in to the question for you and provided you have a tight install, there is no issue with a single layer receiving blanket or thin piece of cotton between the Foonf and the leather.
