Is there any way to fit 3 carseats across in a 2012 vw golf wagon?

I have a 2012 vw golf wagon and am wondering if it is possible to fit 3 carseats across, I know it will be tight. I have a 40lb 5 yr old that I want to keep in a harnessed carseat, a 25 lb 3 yr old and a newborn coming. I am willing to buy all new carseats if it meant I could keep my car. Has anyone found a combo that can work?
Thanks!

My best guess would be a Diono Radian with angle adjuster rear facing for the three year old (then forward facing later), a Harmony Defender for the five year old, and a Combi Coccoro (a convertible, but some infant seats may fit as well) for the baby. When the baby outgrows the Coccoro you buy the five year old a narrow booster, give the Defender to the three year old, then give the baby the Radian (or whatever their ages are at the time).

Why the Harmony Defender? Isn't the Radian narrower than the Defender? Why not two Radians and one Coccoro?

More cost effective if it's workable in a 3 across as the Defender isn't as pricy as the Radian for one, assuming the Defender is available in Canada where the OP is located and where carseats tend to be even pricier than their U.S. counterparts, and a 40 lb. 5 year would be forward facing and wouldn't need the RFing capability of a Radian convertible. IIRC the Coccoro isn't available in Canada, though.

Hi,
I have a 2002 Jetta wagon. Not sure what the size difference inside is.

I have:
Passenger side: radian rxt rear facing without angle adjuster
Middle: Radian RXT forward facing
Driver: Peg Pergo SIP 22 lb bucket (obviously rear facing)

It was a tight fit but they are all in. :yeahthatlove:

Depending upon your time, watch toys r us, sears, the Dione website and if in Ontario snugglebuz (online baby shop). Radians do go on sale. Unfourtunatly already twice this year.

Sorry just noticed the age of the older two. Are you rear facing or forward facing the 3yr old.

I am currently working with combos for two forward and one rear facing. I have a baby, who I need to keep on the passenger outside position.

Will let you know how I get on.

FYI. Just got the following fitted.
Passenger - marathon ear facing (2009 model)
Middle - radian ff
Driver - radian ff

Very, very tight, but fits. (Not to sure how I'm gonna get them out -lol)
