Does anyone know the rules for car seats in Singapore? I am traveling with 11 month old. I currently own Britax Chaperone and do not want to take the base. I will be in private cars in Singapore. Does anyone know if this ok?

Just bring your seat and practice a seat belt install with a locking clip (unless it has built in lockoffs).
However, I honestly would not travel to Singapore until the PSI levels drop.

Thank you for the information. I could not find that page after much searching.
As to Singapore, I don't have a whole lot of choice. Hoping it's cleared out in 2 weeks. And we will be there 2 months. I guess we may be staying inside until it clears. And while it is hot there and the air conditioning will feel great that kind of puts a damper on the trip.

The carseats that I've seen for sale in Singapore have been either USA-certified or EU-certified, which makes me suspect that they are content to trust the testing protocol of other countries!
It's unfortunate about the pollution - Singapore was one of my fave places for a holiday when we were living in SE Asia.

I am going to ask a stupid question. What is a locking clip? Or, a built in lock off?
Not a stupid question at all. That's what the forum is for. 
A locking clip is a little H shaped piece of metal - you install it on the seatbelt next to the buckle to keep the carseat held in tight. This is in the case when you have a vehicle that has seatbelts that do not automatically lock. Built in lockoffs are something built into the carseat so that you do not need the metal locking clip. If you are not familiar with locking clips, some people find it easier to have the built in lock-offs.
Your carseats may have come with locking clips. But if not, you can pick one up for pretty cheap at a Babies R Us, or possibly even Walmart/Target. I think they are about $2-3.

Thank you! I will be looking for those tonight. That way I can buy them tomorrow, if mine didn't come with it.
