Frontier 90 vs. Pinnacle

So is the main differance between the FR90 and Pinnacle the extra side impact protection? Is the extra side impact protection necessary? We have an '11 Odyssey and the only place it doesnt have air bags is the back window, so I am curious then if we would really "need" the extra side impact? Who has either of those seats and what do you like not like about them? I am thinking of getting my son the FR90 and wanted to see what people thought about it. How upright does it sit km haness mode? Does it recline at all a tad like the FR85? Thanks so much for your help...

Sorry no one answered you yet. I believe those are the main differences as long you are referring to both 90 versions and not the 70 version. There are no real standards to say how well the side impact protection is worth it but it gives some of us peace of mind especially if the car has no side air bags...

Bumping for your other questions since I don't have either seat.

I'm confused. My 2009 ody has side curtain airbags in all three rows. Are you meaning the hatch window?

I'm not a tech but with no standards for side impact testing of car seats, I wouldn't be overly concerned in your vehicle (because it has full length curtain airbags)

Sorry if I was confusing...the only place I believ that doesnt have air bags is the "trunk" windos in tbe way back? Does that make sense? While my Advocate and FR85 SICT fit back there...there is absolutely NO way someone can sit in the center if needed and they are HUGE. So I dont know if that is a silly reason to sell and buy new "just in case" we need someone to ride in the center.

In that vehicle, with side curtain air bags, I would not pay extra for the SICT. I would go with the Frontier.
