Actually liking my Radian...and a funny story

I was totally prepared to hate this seat. I briefly had one 4 years ago (pre angle-adjuster) and it was a total disaster in the '06 Outback. But I actually like it. I haven't totally jumped on the Radian bandwagon, but I'm getting close. :)

I bought it for 6mo DD, who has just otherworldly eczema and needed a soft carseat as her primary ride. I looked at everything...I really wanted a Nextfit, or another Truefit (what DS has), or a Primo Viaggio, or a Foonf, but the seat cover options sucked on all of them, and she kept rooting all over the head wings on the Pria, so that ended up being a no-go. I was left with the Advocate in Anna and a couple of Radian covers. Since I'm cheap and the Radian will last longer, I bought an RXT in Spring with the angle adjuster. Um, it fits great in the 2011 Outback, and she's sooooooo much happier than she was in her Snugride. The cover is nice and soft and doesn't both her skin at all.

And, as an added bonus, you can actually move the straps and crotch buckle without uninstalling the carseat! How do I know this, you ask? Well, I ended up with an odd 3-across this afternoon. DS (4.5 yo) had a friend over (5.5 yo, about 45 lbs and 45 in, best guess) who arrived with a HBTB, since I said we'd drive him home. Well, through an unforeseen series of events, I ended up with DS in DD's RXT RF, friend in Turbobooster in the middle, and DD in her Coccoro behind the passanger. DS fit, just barely, in the Radian and he and his little friend got a real kick out of facing each other in the car. So that's how I know you can move all the straps without uninstalling the seat.

DH was unimpressed with my ingenuity, so I thought I would share with people who actually care.
