DD1 fell asleep on a recent road trip. She didn't think she'd by comfy in her booster, but she slept quite well! Not once did her head flop forward. :)

That's great! I was just surprised by the same thing this week on our way to SeaWorld! :) I had a passed out almost 7 year old in her Britax SGL.

That's great! Is that a vivo she's sleeping in? Unfortunately, I had the opposite happen. When my DD, who had only been in a booster a handful of times, fell asleep in a turbo HBB, she kept flopping forward. It was so nerve-racking! I sat in back with her to wake her if needed and she did seem to be waking enough each time to pull herself back up, but it happened over and over and over the whole drive. I was so glad when that drive was over, but now I dread the day she outgrows her FR 85 in my car.

Yes, it's a Vivo. I  it!

I am in the back seat with Gage right now, on his very 1st road trip in the Oobr, and he's asleep. It's funny that I came across this thread now! His head is tilted back a bit.

ah, vivo, how I love thee... seriously... for even the floppiest necks (obviously a curved spine can throw all this out the window), it is just the most supportive for sleep ever... I wish all boosters had headrests that supportive.

my DD uses a vivo as her spare, I was amazed at how well she sleeps in it, (she's not quite 5). My DS just fell asleep in his new nbb for the first time, and slept great, no falling over, I guess maybe he doesn't need the monterey anymore :( but will still be using it for long trips

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about my 9.5yo... He can sleep in a nbb without slumping now so maybe he'd be ok in it full time. I'm not ready yet, though :p

exactly, it's more me not being ready, rather than him not being ready, he uses the monterey in DH's car (no side airbags), but in my car (4 rear airbags) I let him start using an nbb around town when he turned 9, but for long trips I still prefer the monterey
