Installing Foonf ARB

I'm trying to put our new foonf together, and I'm stuck on attaching the ARB. Do I just really have to jam that sucker in? I was hoping this would be a nap time project, but I'm wondering if I'm going to need to gett a sledgehammer out! Am I missing something?
Any other tips? I'm going to install it in an 08 impreza wagon.

Yeah, it feels SO wrong to just ram that thing in there!
I watched a YouTube video of the ARB installation & the guy recommended sticking your finger down the hole to depress that little plastic tab. Which is great if you have freakishly long fingers. I do not. So I used a flathead screwdriver to gently push the tab down and the bar slid right in. I realized later that I probably could have used the "troubleshooting tool" instead, but the screwdriver worked fine.
I'm on my phone & nursing right now, so I don't have the video link, but if you search for Foonf ARB installation, it will pop right up. HTH!

Yes, the screwdriver works just fine. My fingers aren't long enough to reach inside either so I kind of rock it up - I line the ARB up on a very slight angle, get the edge of one side in and then turn it just slightly as I push to get it to go up in to it, and then push hard on the other side.

The trouble shooting tool isn't actually long enough/big enough to get a good grip on it, so I wouldn't suggest trying to use it.

The tabs at the top of the ARB aren't fragile, so it's ok to give it a good solid shove to get it up there. You'll find too, if you have to take the ARB off and put it back on at all, that the tabs become more flexible and easier to push up as they're flexed more.

It was WAY easier to do the second time. Didn't someone say somewhere that the little pins were not required?

Got it! Thanks so much for the screwdriver and YouTube trick. Easier than I thought it would be :)

You're welcome. I also found it very easy once I learned that trick!
For the pins, I absolutely could not get the clips on if I tried it with the bumps facing up. I was about to throw in the towel when I turned it over and the darn things slid right on.
