2 car seats + 1 booster in a sedan?

anyone happen to have or know of a sedan that can easily fit 2 car seats and a booster in the back seat of a sedan?

the reason we'd prefer a sedan is because the kids only ride in the car on the weekends and the rest of them it's just me driving to/from work. so we don't really see the reason in getting a suv that has lower MPG.

thanks.

not sure what your budget is, or what seats you already have but the chevy impala is pretty wide, as is the ford taurus, the older style chevy malibu is pretty wide. Of course a lot of it depends on what seats you have (I can do 3 across in my '13 cruze, but it's took just the right seats). if you tell us the ages, height, and weight of the kids you will be transporting, and which seats you already have that would help. you may need to get different seats though depending on which ones you have

I would look for vehicles in the midsize category, and look for carseats that are 19" wide or less and a small base/footprint.

I was able to to get a FF Alpha Omega Elite, Graco backless Turbo Booster, and a RF Radian in my mom's 2010 Hyundai Sonata. I had no hope of that same setup in my 2005 Nissan Sentra. I wouldn't say that I loved the install of the AOE, but it was a one-time thing. Honestly, without the AOE it would have been so much easier. The armrests and wide base made that thing nearly impossible to puzzle with.

I was able to get a coccoro, cybex booster, and a radian in my 2008 mazda 3. It was tight but it worked.

I was able to get a Parkway SGL, a Frontier86 and a RFing Radian in a 2009 For Fusion. The booster buckled fairly easily.

IMO, 2 harnessed seats and a booster isn't too hard, but 2 boosters and a harnessed seat can be more challenging. Once Ds moved to a booster we moved dd1 to a nbb (Harmony youth booster) but if she would have needed a high back still it would have been really difficult to get the second booster buckled.

Full sized sedans will offer more room but be ware of fixed headrests and sedans that don't have a headrest in the middle (like our Fusion) if you plan on keeping the vehicle long term, it complicates things as kids move out of hig backed boosters (or boosters all together).
