Monterey vs Affix/TB?

Anyone have both that can take some comparison pics? I need something narrower than the Monterey, but I'm worried about the height of the armrests on the Affix/TB not playing well. I can squeeze the Monterey in the spot it needs to be in, but Patrick (6) can't buckle it himself. He can buckle the Harmony Literider fine, but I really prefer him in a HBB for a couple more years.

I don't currently have both, but the Affix is essentially the same as the Turbo, so if you can find comparisons between those two, you'll have your answer. I don't think the Affix is going to be narrower than the Monterey.

If it's the same as a Turbo, it's quite a bit narrower. The Monterey is listed as 19" at the shoulder and 18" at the base. The TB is 16.5" at the shoulder and 16" at the base. It's the armrests that worry me.

Weird, I've always been able to get the Monterey into tighter spaces than the Turbo. Maybe because of the way it tapers in back.

Not sure on the arm rest measurements.

That's what it says in the measurement database....I'm not going off real life experience. Just trying to avoid ordering/returning etc.

Looks like I will be doing a comparison review in a week or so. Just ordered 2 Affix from Kohl's for $63 each.

Affix came yesterday.

Don't have any pics yet...DS hasn't even tried it out yet. But it does fit better in the space I have to work with. Unfortunately, I don't think he will be able to buckle on his own still, though I do think it's slightly easier for ME to buckle. But, and this is a huuuuuuuuuuge but....do I give up the awesome side protection of the Monterey for the Affix? It seems so....lacking. I do have side airbags, and it obviously provides more protection then a LBB...but it's so hard to look in the back seat and not see the sides of the Monterey. I can fit the Monterey, but I have to push it in pretty hard. The Affix just sets in place perfectly.

I will get pics once I try him in it to see which one offers the best fit.

DS rode in it today and fit great. He was able to buckle with just a little assistance. I think with practice, he will get it in no time. Plus, he loved it! I asked which he likes better and he said the Affix! Probably because it is new, but still! Looks like it is a keeper!
