Pics of damaged seats / stress marks

Does anyone have any pictures of seats with stress marks (from a crash or otherwise), damage from a crash or dropping, damage from a checked seat?

May I please use it for an article? Posting here would indicate yes, and thank you :)

I have an infant seat with stress marks from a "supposedly" universal snap n go. Not from crash/dropping/checking though. Would that work?

I have a pic of stress marks on a FR 90 safe cell. It came that way so I don't know what caused it. Would you like it?

I could throw a bucket down the stairs and take a pic, lol.
Actually I probably have some training seats with damage, I'll go take a look.

I can offer you a Graco SR35 base. It was given to me as a training seat due to a crash, but the stress marks look more from use than a crash.

(Ignore the first pic, basement lighting, lol)

Hey, I have a brand new FRct (90) with some discoloration on the safe cell. Safety issue?

Technically it is a training seat on loan, but my son has been trying it out...

I called Britax to ask if it was still safe to use and the girl I talked to said she had to ask upper management. She came back a few seconds later and said they're going to replace the seat for me so I'm thinking the answer is that it may be a safety thing. Here's a pic.

It's only on the left side of the seat. The right side's safe cell isn't discolored at all.

Thanks, that does look pretty significant!

I'm going to go take a look in the van.

Not mine but you could ask for their permission to use this one -- note the tiny white stress mark. In the next picture it's explained: "This car seat has just been involved in a violent collision at 50 km / h (30mph) but there is no evidence of the crash!"
