Pride Trimble car seat, 1970?

It reclines! Mint condition in the box. Not sure of the exact date. Love the racing stripe!

Huh, fascinating!! I probably had one of those. ;P So the seat belt would have gone between the two triangles on the base? I wonder how effective it would've been. Seems like if you could snug the harness to the child (to prevent them crashing into that armrest), and put it in the middle of the back seat, it wouldn't be horrible. Better than no restraint, I suppose. :)

I believe most of these style seats collapsed like a cheap lawn chair pinching whatever type of harness in the childs abdomen?

I'm sure that did a better job of keeping the kid in place than actual protection in a crash.
