It has been in my son's room for a month now. He has been using the Monterey full time now and doing great. He sleeps great in it, and I love that it Latches so I can put it on the middle end of my short bench in my GC 2001.

I think it may be time to get rid of it. The only reason I am considering keeping it longer is I like to put DS1 in the Monterey for long or night trips, But I guess I could just get another Monterey. I really like it..

It just looks sad in my son's room. All lonely in the corner...

It's taller than the Monterey, are your kids big car sleepers on long trips? You could keep it for when they get taller?
I know the feeling, though, my FR80 was nearly gone for a few months till we started using it as a booster (probably because I don't have any Montereys, lol).

They sleep but stay in position.. Even my Oldest will sleep well using the Sante fe.

It just seems like waste to use it just as a booster. I did try it in booster mode but I really like the Monetery fit better on the kids.

Maybe I will wait til after summer.

I just parted with my Cowmoo FR85 on Monday and was sad to see it go. It will be living in Tucson now! I am now down to a FR90, a Graco Argos, and a Snowberry Clek Oobr that probably won't be used for another six months when I start booster training. Not something I normally would have bought, but couldn't pass up the deal I got on it!

Doesn't your son have a really tall torso? The FR85 is a very tall booster.

He is the biggest kid in his class but he seems to have stopped torso growing and is more growing in the leg now. He still has about 1 1/2 inches of harness left.

auto correct hates me

Personally, I'l be hanging on to at least two for their tall booster use. I don't like the idea of backless, DD hates backless, and my kids are tall. My recollection is that your kids are even taller, so I'd hang on to it, but then again, I'll never own a Monterey, so do what's right for you. :)

I went in the room to visit it today. :)

I just don't love it as a booster, My oldest is 9 and can almost 5 step in some cars he rides in but most often uses the Sante fe. I will probably reinstall it to just to see where DS2 is in it.

I actually wanted to get some cheap boosters, A lbb and a hbb for pool rides.

I keep thinking of all the things this seat could fund.. :)

I think I am just so melancholy that my little boys are not so little. What the heck happens to the time!

I'm in the same spot. Our Frontier isn't getting any use now but I can't imagine selling it. It just seems so crazy that like last week DS1 was born (okay... slight exaggeration)... but there's no reasonable explanation for the fact that my child has outgrown all harness seats. He's only 7! DS2 is FFing because of car sickness... so that just makes him so stinking grown up too;(.

I completely relate to the melancholy. Where did it go?
