Wow! That's much better than the kid riding on Mom's lap but it still loos scary compared to today's technology!

My mom said that we only used it when we were asleep. If we were crying or hungry we would sit in her lap. I think it is great that they actually had a seat though. My dad always had to have the newest coolest things. And this was in 2 minor wrecks. One with each of us. We had a car bed but I couldn't find a picture if that one lol.

I apparently had carseats. I'm 31 and remember being extremely upset giving up my white molded plastic low back booster at about 4... My OH seems to think he never had one. He's 41...

My hubby said he didn't use one either, he is 41 as well. I think we stopped using it around 2 or 3. I don't remember using it when we moved cross country at almost 4. I do remember sleeping in the back window.

I remember riding around in the back of my mom's truck in a fairly big city... We should did a lot of stuff back then that none of us would now!

Very cool! I'm 45 and had a car seat. I only know that from seeing it in an old photo. Probably did ride in it much.
