I'm so confused. Can someone do an old to new comparison of all these new Britax seats? Please!

Parkway SG-------2013 SG
Parkway SGL------2013 SGL

-----Britax Pioneer 70 w/ 18.5" harness

Frontier 85 w/ 19.5" harness----
Frontier SICT---------------------
Is this going? My guess, yes. 1) b/c I just bought one & I have the best luck for picking things that are dicontinued
2) b/c they don't need three seats that are so similar...OR is it the same w/ a new name?

-----Frontier 90 w/ 20.5" harness
-----Frontier Pinnacle 90

Is that it? Did I miss any?

Both the fronter 85 and sict are going. I think they had 20in slots but that varies. Its worth mentioning the pioneer doesn't have click safe. The frontier 90 & pinnacle have it.

There are some great reviews and threads on these, but sorting through it all can be overwhelming.

I don't think anyone's had their hands on the booster yet, but the differences between the boosters seem to mainly be the addition of safe cell, and the different shell shape, of course. It also has the adjuster on the front of the head piece instead of the back, the updated SG clip looks more stylish, but I have no idea if it functions differently. With both SGL has latch, while SG doesn't.

The differences between the 85 and 90 seats are too numerous to list. I like some things better about the 85, some better about the 90. Some of the big additions to the 90 are safe cell, click tight, and an extra .5" and 5 pounds in the harness and the harness being height adjustable while installed. However, the booster capacity is about 1.5" shorter and the head wings stick up higher, blocking visibility. There are other differences, but these are some of the big ones and ones that mattered to me.

The Pioneer has lower limits (2" shorter and 20 pounds lighter than the 90s) and lacks click tight. That makes it a good competitor to the Nauti or Argos, but for some of us with tall kids, that makes it not even an option.

I hope this helps. I would strongly recommend looking at the reviews on the carseat blog. They're very helpful!

Thanks, I read the blogs and their website, totally want the Pinnacle. I'm not confused by the features/benefits of the seats, just confused by what's coming, going and staying. Plus of course, since I'm Canadian, what/when we'll get here is another factor...

Guess it looks better like this:

Parkway SG-------2013 SG
Parkway SGL------2013 SGL

Frontier SICT---------------------GOING
Frontier 85 w/ 19.5" harness----GOING-----Britax Pioneer 70 w/ 18.5" harness and a bit more narrow for 3 across. Compare to GN. HEY, this is more like the classic FR, since it was shorter than the 85. I hated that seat! LOL

-----Frontier 90 w/ 20.5" harness now tallest on the market and taller than the original FR 85...Yeah, Britax!
-----Frontier Pinnacle 90
