What Carseat is this?

I pulled this car seat out of my daugther's van that she has been transported in for the school year. I washed the cover because it was just down right nasty and I didn't want my child sitting in it!

I am wondering which car seat this is. I am curious because I am wondering if they have it installed correctly/used correctly?!

The front of the seat

It has these doohickey things up but the head on the side...

It looks like to me that at some point this seat had some kind of harness to it...

Just an old Alpha Omega in booster mode. Looks like proper booster mode since the base is off (or looks to be) and the headrest is in the highest slot.

Yes, they have her using it as a highback booster. I sent her to school with our Graco TB w/SS - when she gets dropped off today after school I am swapping the seats out.

Now I am curious - know where I can get an instruction manual?

Thing says it was manufactured 3/27/06...

Hey CuddlyMonsters! :)

The Alpha Omega's had an 8 year expiration, from date of manufacture. That one is still "good" for another 10 mos--till 3/27/14:)

However, there's no way in H*** my child would be riding in that thing as a booster seat, ever. I gave one away we had. It's a terrible fitting booster seat on most kids, in most cars. The lap belt rides too high and the shoulder belt positioner generally pulls the belt over too far, even when it's at the right height. Definitely send her in another seat, esp since she's tiny-ish. Even a $30 Evenflo Sport high back from Walmart is a better fit.

Hope you are well!

Oh! I totally agree, I have been going rounds with transportation about how she is transported. It is not just her it is other kids that are in her van too. There is one kid who is in a backless booster, but she constantly strips down to her underwear and is not even sitting in the seat!

I almost got this for her to use strictly for her to use on the van and for her therapist to transport her.

However, I have no idea how it fits her. I wanted something cheap, but comfortable for her since she needs to travel in it everyday to and from school. She HATES the Graco TB and Graco TB with SS - constantly complanded that it wasn't padded enough for her...

The Amp isn't exactly cushily padded, but the different 'geometry' of it might be more comfortable for her than the Turbos, so it might be better (deeper seat, different headwings, taller armrests). And I find that anything pretty seems to be more comfortable (at least for most kids, if it's the right color scheme, it could be bumpy granite and they'd love it, hahahaha, but you know your dd best. That seat is at most BRU's and Walmarts for testing out if you think it might be worth it to try before you buy, anyway).

Looks can be deciving online. It looks like it would be well padded, because it kind of looks like it is quilted, lol!

This might be an option too.

Thoughts?

I wanted to keep it under $40 OR my husband will have a BIG HUGE FIT!
