Frontier 90 fabric, help please!

I want to know how the different fabrics feel. I want to give one of these seats to my sister as a present for my niece, but I have no way to see one since I am currently living in the Caribbean and it would take close to a year for the stores to carry them here (my sister lives in Miami). I currently have a pre-order on albee for a cactus flower, but I read here that it feels kinda like a rough backpack and that got me thinking maybe I should get it in another pattern if it feels smoother and that would mean my sister would get it sooner (just a couple of days with diapers or amazon) and I will save a few dollars. But what do you guys think? Could you share your experiences with the different fabrics with me? Maybe some pictures too.

**this is my first time posting something, so... HELLO! ^_^ and sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place or something.

I don't know if I'd call it that rough...maybe just like a sturdy fabric. That's just the black part on the seat though, the flowered parts are silky and smooth. My daughter has no complaints about her seat :)

Do you think the flower part would get a little extra hot in the summer? And what about the onyx? It looks in the pictures like it is more like velvet?

I just got my onyx. It does have a more soft velvety feel on the solid black part. I actually don't like it much. It seems like it would be more hot and sweaty in the summer and not wash as well. I am sorta disappointed.

I think I'm the one who called it rough. I might have over reacted because I'm used to their velvet covers. It sounds like a lot of people here like it.

I don't think either would get hot.

Is it their real velvet, like so many of the convertible covers through the years and their 85 cowmoo? If so, it will wash better than anything and be incredibly durable and very hard to stain, at least that's been my experience. Also, my girls have never complained about it making them hot, and I have one who's a complainer, so she would have for sure.

I'm a tull not sure if it is like there other velvet covers. This is our first britex. We have all sunshine radians. I decided to go with a britex this time because of better side impact protection. I really like the seat itself. We are hoping our 80sl sells so we can get a second.

I think I'll stick to the cactus flower then. I love the idea of a velvety feel from the onyx, but my little niece loves flowers.

Thank you guys! You're great.

We just got cactus flower yesterday. The black is not soft in anyway, but not bad. I love the feel of the flower part. It is smooth and it is softer/silkier...not sure how to describe it, but compared to the Livia as it often is, I would say it is much nicer feeling.
