I purchased a new Ford Edge this past weekend and the buckles are so wedged down in the seat that we're really struggling to buckle my son's booster seat in. I called Ford and they have buckle extenders I can get for free. I'm assuming if it is a Ford part and, therefore crash tested with the vehicle, and it meets all other requirements (ex. doesn't put the buckle too high), that it is safe, but figured I'd better ask here first. Technically, I'm not adding an after market product.

IIRC, Ford specifically prohibits the use of their extender with booster seats.
I read the entire Clek manual and don't see any reference to buckle extenders so I went ahead and sent them an email. I did the same for Ford. I guess I'll go based on what they say. It's so hard to buckle him in right now that I'm afraid I'm not going to get the buckle fully engaged. I don't understand why vehicle manufacturers design vehicles without thinking about child restraints.
