Seatbelt slipping from belt guide?

I recently put a PWSG in my Highlander for the 6 1/2 year old. We have had issues of the belt not retracting easily in dh's murano and I was hoping it woul be better in my car.

But instead the shoulder belt keeps escaping the belt guide during bucking and/or unbuckling. Is anyone else having this problem? He wants a booster and this is the only one that fits the position AND that he doesn't fall out of when asleep.

Do you have adjustable anchors? I find my belts slip right out of my FR belt guide when they are high, but when I lower the anchor, so it's actually a tad below the booster guide, then it hooks in and works fine. Sticks a little and won't retract after we get out of the car, but works great on the kiddo.

Great idea. I can't remember if the shoulder belt adjusts in my car but I will look this afternoon. I want to say it doesn't though.

I also do a little bit of tweaking with the vehicle seatback recline, when possible...a little raise here, recline there, fiddle and tweak and fingers crossed, lol.

Not adjustable and can't adjust the angle of the seats because of the 3 across. :/ don't have this problem with any other booster.

The seatbelt guide is optional w the parkway as long as the Belt fits across the child properly. Have you tried it w out the guide?

I have never heard that the belt guides are optional on the parkway. I'd be a little hesitant not to use them without confirmation from Britax. Can you call tomorrow?

Not until after I need to use the seat. Guess I will go put the frontier back together. Ugh. If the kid has a nosebleed on the seat tomorrow.... I'm tired of cleaning bodily fluids off my covers!
