Chicco Nextfit?

I took a friend carseat shopping last week. We had trouble understanding the inserts, padding on the nextfit. Anyone have photos that can explain it to me? And her?

I'm Not sure I understand the question. Isnt there just one insert for infants that comes out later?

We moved the back up and you unfolded a piece. But there was a place that it was double layered and then single layered. So lumpy.

The layer that's folded under gets unfolded when the headrest is all the way up so that there's padding all the way down, if that makes any sense. Yes, it looks kind of odd and lumpy, but but it's been a non issue for my daughter.
